Martin Luther King was no saint. He was a human being, a man, - TopicsExpress

Martin Luther King was no saint. He was a human being, a man, just a guy with his foibles like all the rest of us. But despite his faults, he reared himself up like a mighty lion to lead a movement to end racial prejudice, at least in an official and legal sense, in this country. For this reason, I see Martin Luther King as a true hero. This was a land of where certain individuals were elevated over others, a land where a person had less rights based solely on the color of their skin. This was a land of Star-bellied Sneetches. I am born a Star-bellied Sneetch, an individual whos rights and privileges would have been superior to others during the Old Guard. But, I do not want to live in the Star-bellied Sneetch America of fifty years ago. I am proud to live in a better world. Thank you, Dr. King.
