Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal Thursday said the recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to China will open new chapter of strong friendship between the two countries and help in promoting trade and economic relations.Addressing a press conference here at Foreign Office along with Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, Ahsan Iqbal said the visit will be helpful in transforming traditional foreign policy into economic diplomacy to give new boost to trade and economic relations with neighbours and friendly countries.He said, “Unfortunately our political and economic relations with friendly countries including China and Middle East countries do not reflect our level of relationships with these countries in terms of trade as we could not expand our trade with these countries in the past.”
