Moms and dads in Woodland Hills, California - not too happy with PETA (those are the anti-meat people). Parents say PETA gave their kids a comic book that contained graphic images of mutilated cows. It happened at Calabash Elementary School - the same day a baby cow was on campus for a lesson about dairy farming. CBS News in Los Angeles broke the story. They say the comic books showed cows getting dehorned, electrocuted and whacked with machettes - not exactly bedtime stories for a six year old. PETA says it was all just an innocent mix up - but the parents say they crossed the line. I ran into some of those PETA people in my neighborhood once - they asked if I loved animals. I said absolutely -- so long as theyre deep fried.
