Most of the time we dont even know that we are thirsty. They say that when you are desiring that drink of cool refreshing water you are already at that point of being dehydrated. It occurred to me that we are so spiritually. I thought of the story of comparison, one of my all time favorites; Jesus and the woman at the well. He let her know what she needed in her life was spiritual water. What she had was artificial and wouldnt quench her thirst. Then I thought of how there are in fact people who God uses to help keep our water cup from becoming empty. Not all being a romantic relationship, but friends, strangers, loving family, and spouses... Some the ones you give to and therefore they give in return (spiritual blessing) God uses plain ole ordinary people. Whats amusing is half the time we dont know we are or how we are filling someones cup...they dont know they are filling yours. Half time you dont even know you are thirsty until someone gives you a drink. When we give of ourselves spiritually, physically and emotionally we have to be replenished. It is maintaining holistic health . The creator knows all this and already has it on lock. He teaches us how to maintain our holistic health and one is to give and also draw from his well that never runs dry.
