My Heart is absolutely breaking. Lori Sobkowski Rodriguez - TopicsExpress

My Heart is absolutely breaking. Lori Sobkowski Rodriguez died as a result for Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. Her husband Noel contacted me late last night. I wrote then but my Facebook did not post it. From 2000 to 2005, Clay Bigler and I flew around the United States doing structured settlements for people who developed Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH) from the diet drug Redux. Once diagnosed, a person with PPH has a life expectancy of 4.6 years. 53 of our 54 clients died in the next six years. Lori was the last survivor. Lori Sobkowski Rodriguez (I always tried to get her to hypernate her name to make it the longest in world history) was our miracle as she had doubled the odds and seemed to doing great I heard from her often. She lived in Florida but we stayed in touch regularly. The people that had PPH were a truly special group to me. Most were my age or younger. I had taken Redux but never had any known side effects but I could have easily been one of the PPH victims living under a death sentence. For a while, and a few rounds of testing, I thought I was in their shoes. Thus. I spent a lot of my time with PPH victim hugging and being there for them and their families. We did our best work helping them set up their finances for a death at a young age. Clay and I connected to Lori. Noel and Loris best friend immediately and in the past year, Lori became a frequent Facebook friend. Lori was a frequent Facebook cheerleader for me during my recent weight loss surgery. Noel referenced Lori as beautiful but she was beautiful inside and out. He is a hell of a guy too. I see a lot of guys hanging around with someone gets a settlement with dollar signs in their eyes. Clay and I both saw that the only thing in Noels eyes was love. From following them on Facebook, that never seemed to change. PPH is a disease that ought to be curable and I hope people donate to the PPH group in lieu of flowers. I will. More than that, I will miss her model of courage and fight against one of the most painful diseases ever invented.
