My father will not be going home from the hospital. He was to be going to an assisted care facility but now will be going to one more akin to the basic rest home. His mind is intact but he is extremely weak and he had another TIA last week, which has left him unable to sit up straight in bed, stand up or transfer to a wheelchair. My mother has come to grips with reality and is bravely handling things. I am not there because I have a court hearing Tuesday. I have had to fight before but having this going on while my father is dying and my mother needs my help, is really challenging me. To close friends I have not seen lately, to the person whose appointment I spaced out Wednesday, I am very sorry. I will check in from Missoula. And to any miscreants who think they see an opportunity here, think twice: my good neighbor, a former armed guard for the Federal Reserve who did four tours of Nam, can hit a half dollar with a .45 from 100 feet on a quick draw and watches my place 24/7. Dont be stupid. Everyone else: thanks for the emotional support youve selflessly sent my way the past several weeks. I wont let you down. Ill take care of business, in Montana and here. Love you all.
