My friend Brian sent this comment to CTV today regarding Todays news item: Woman Westjet Pilot vs. respectful, loving David Well said Brian Dear CTV: The “respectfully, in love, David” who doesn’t believe a woman should be a Westjet pilot, obviously doesn’t read the Bible that he uses to back up his argument very carefully. He references Proverbs 31 where we read that this woman is not only a good wife and mother, but she also: - provides for her family (v. 15), - imports gourmet food (v. 14), - purchases farm real estate on her own and from her own earnings and - establishes vineyards for wine production (v. 16). On top of all that, she is - a fashion designer and clothing manufacturer, - carefully selecting wool and flax (v. 13) - producing and selling linen garments and sashes to retailers (v. 24). Her entrepreneurial accomplishments are to recognized and praised by her city’s council (v. 31). Read the Bible more carefully, David, before spouting your prejudices! Based on Proverbs 31, the Westjet pilot should instead be praised for her abilities as a pilot. Respecting the woman pilot for her many years of safely piloting passengers, Brian
