My friend Prabhakar Awasthi jee has poked me to write something on Brahmanism and duties of Brahmins. In ancient period who so ever developed thought and gyan were called brahmin and were regarded as son of Brahma. But they distributed knowledge to only their clans and to chhatriya. Another clan that developed education was kayastha who came in light in sultanate period. But now education is for all. Now, Almost 50% mithilanchal is suffering from poverty and lack of education, they are leaving purohitai, Kankuja do not do many of the rituals (karmakand), nagars/girid are working as purohits, sautriya are very few in number and like other castes the middle class Brahmins tan towards traching, government service and politics. Those Brahmins who are still associated with religious education must adopt a new religion - that is their social obligation as spiritual leader. They do not need to teach about Ram charitra manas or Bhagwat geeta. Every one knows what is right and wrong, what is dharma and adharma. What the country needs, youngsters be given moral education. Brahmins must work against social evils like dowry, child labour, poverty, lack of education in rural India. crime against women and children etc. A large amount of money and gold hss been offered to god and huge wealth is lying stored in famous temples. It is the property of god and his children - me and everyone of India (at least the Hindus). The mathadhis/chief priests of these temples and dharma sansad should decide to give 30% to governmeny for development work, 30% should be used directly by them in social welfare like building orphanage, old age homes, schools, colleges and hospitals. The can keep 40% for emergency situations like flood, draught, war etc. If the do not do so gradually they will loose the faith of poors who have become confused about existance of god. God Must Come Before Them From These Temples. The greatest temple must donate best to the nation. God living in these temples can make this country great and even richest.
