My last interview with the slain Cleric a few days before his death. This man Sheikh Abubakar Shariff aka Abu Makaburi-the name Makaburi is derived from his previous role of digging graves. He was considered one of the fiery Islamic preachers on jihad ideologies. The slain cleric once justified the killing of innocent Kenyans by Al-Shabaab at Westgate shopping mall and Christians in Mombasa. Recently in March 2014 he was awarded Ksh. 670,000 (US dollar 7,700) in compensation and special damages after the High Court ruled that a police raid his home violated his constitutional rights. Makaburi was arrested in 2010 after a grenade attack on a Nairobi bus and faces numerous charges including membership of a terror group and inciting violence after rioting in Mombasa last year….
