My little town of Maplewood NJ has a free weekend of music for the 11th year this July 12-13, called Maplewoodstock. Live music from noon until 10 pm both days, the bands all have some local ties and each day is punctuated by a few headliners. This years headliners are Raul Midon, Norah Jones with Puss n Boots, and Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Ive been trying to get some entity in my town to get to get Robert to play since he has local roots. And did I mention, the entire weekend is free (and a half hour train ride from Penn Station NY and located in the park immediately adjacent to the station). Thats all.
