My main video for Skin and Bones is finally finished. It took a little longer than expected to get together. I really hope you like it. I wanted to draw peoples attention to the situation of kids in Afghanistan, which I became aware of due to an awesome skater organisation called Skateistan (skateistan.org). The video (shot in Kabul) takes a pretty personal look at daily life there. It doesn´t help anyone to only show the dark side of Kabul. There is really also a certain spirit of optimism, and thats what I would like to show and support with this video... Were not just Skin and bones, surrounded by the cold The footage has been shot by Jochen Zimmermann and Yannick Bonica in Kabul as part of a bigger film project about culture in Afghanistan. This video is dedicated to the people working for the Skateistan organisation, who contribute to the hope and happiness of the youth in Afghanistan via their skateboard initiative. Also to the brave graffiti girls, who are artists from the organisation Berang in Kabul, who risk their lives every time they speak out loudly and openly against the suppression they encounter. https://youtube/watch?v=DhPeziHWdAk
