NEXT Thur/Fri might be the nites to catch the annual SALAMANDER MIGRATION! We should have a party to watch them, then go grab a beer at Spags to make it an honest Sally Party. ...Every year on the first warm night rain all the salamanders come out around 10pm and march across land, snow and ice to get to the ponds. Its crazy! Its the one time of the year you can see these creatures. Ted Black Woods will have them. We see 8 black ones with yellow spots there. (Other places might have different species. Tigers would be the biggest and best!) If the ice has melted thru at all theyll be swimming in the water, too. It looks like 47degF rainy nights next Thurs/Fri. ...Thatll do it!
