Central New York graduation rates: Baldwinsville: 91.0%, East Syracuse-Minoa: 88.8%, Fayetteville-Manlius: 95.4%, Jamesville-DeWitt: 86.4%, Liverpool: 88.5%, North Syracuse: 84.4%, Skaneateles: 94.8%, Syracuse: 48%, West Genesee: 89.2% This follows along the lines I’ve been talking about for a long time. You cannot keep taking money from the schools and expect them to hold together. Teachers should not be buying supply’s the district needs to supply. Schools need to have an environment that fosters the kid’s imagination, not suppresses it. All those after school programs, and all the school activities that have been cut have taken the joy out of the school experience. I agree it’s time for a change, but I wonder how many people in Syracuse are willing to do what it takes to make that change. It’s a simple process called VOTING! I am running for mayor of Syracuse and I need YOUR help to change things.
