Executive Summary From the Desk of U.P.C Co-Founder 13.01.2015. 21.11.2014 UMOJA POETRY CLUB[U.P.C] officially started its journey as A non profit based organisation since 2014. Mashalah Faraja Naftal Magai Jr.Ngai is one of the Co-Founders of Umoja Poetry Club, the fact is this ideal was also indeed into the good heart of My Comrade/My Friend/My brother and Cousin Mr.Beta Rajab Eliud [blaq Main] with his emotional intelligence the name Umoja meaning [UNITY] from what was my first thought about the name Pamoja meaning [TOGETHER] come to pass and be incredible memory to both of us, now we all say it well Umoja Poetry Club with our slogan poetry for all generations. We, started by organizing, mobilizing and rarely leading new members through social media since online members was our first target. I agree difficulties was there and we still face it but now proudly i can little boast concerning our WhatsApp UMOJA POETRY CLUB GROUP now we have at least more than twenty group member,to us it have played a big role by connecting poetry ideal together.If you can now allow me to mention My noble thanks, I would like to start with Arusha Poetry Club under Brother George Kyomushula[APC Co-Founder/Director] for his clean purpose and valid poetry dream, I have to accept that it was the event of 24.05.2014 at Imbaseni,Arusha inside the poetic ground of United African Alliance Community Centre[U.A.A.C.C] during the honoring life celebration so calledAFRICAN LIBERATION DAY When I first recite my poem calledHOW LONG SHALL WE CRY?is when personally I first met brother George Kyomushula, this great soul living in African soil, My Comrade Brother George the poet was caught by the tone of poetry ancestors into his own soul he fortunately catch up A poetry fire so he end up by reciting his great,sweet and wonderful three poems and the fire was hot until the time keeper stopped him by a common tale Imetosha kwa leo[enough for today]. My dream become vast like a desert in a jungle so everything changed from being a Poet to a Umoja Poetry Club Founder, now in our club we have the following committed members with whom I honor my inner respect just to mention their good names 1.Beta Rajab Eliud[UPC Co Founder/Chairman] 2.Benjamin D Hans[UPC founder/Ass. Project Director] 3.Khalid Omar Mtwange[UPC founder/Information Technology Manager] 4.Peter Nyamwero[UPC founder/Chief Legal Advisor of all UPC Chapters/UPC Arusha Honorary Member] 5.Carlos.P.H.Mingi[UPC founder/Iringa Chapter Legal advisor] 6.Jonathan Nkwambi[UPC founder/UPC Zanzibar Honorary Member] 7.Geofray Anga[UPC founder/UPC Defense Minister] 8. Johnas Husein[UPC founder/UPC Graphics and Design Chief Executive] 9.Juma Kigera[UPC founder/UPC Dodoma organiser] 10.Lomson Kabogo[UPC founder/Iringa Chapter sponsor] and 11.Mashalah F Magai[UPC Co Founder/Project Director]. This few mentioned brothers worked really hard for Umoja Poetry Club in 2014 up to date, and with this space of time i would like to nominate to you that was brother Peter Nyamwero a LLM scholar at Makumira University Arusha Tanzania helped we to organize,prepare, write and re-write our 2014 Umoja Poetry Club Constitution be blessed for this too brother Peter!!! Now allow me again to continue to mention my noble thanks, Also with due respect I would like to thank brother Benard Mbuggu for his internal understanding and keen knowledge with his help to Umoja Poetry Club on 6.01.2015 I had a radio Interview with Nuru Fm 93.5 Iringa many were discussed but to share a few, the interview was deeply concerned about our ongoing 2015 project so called POETRY FOR EDUCATION[P4E] which officially was launched on 10.01.2015 at our art workshop venue formerly was known as Garden Kwa Rasta Alex or X now after few changes to be made the place is called Broom Tree Traditional Centre-Art Workshop Mwangata Corner Iringa Tanzania here is where we are going to conduct art workshop and poetry/stand up comedy/Music event each Sunday for eight month starting this January. Our Income Generating Projects to be undertaken by Umoja Poetry Club are going to be like, 1. ART WORKSHOP[Now to be opened Iringa] 2.POETRY TOURS AND FESTIVAL 3. POETRY FOR EDUCATION PLATFORM 4. POETRY PROGRAMME FOR RADIO AND TELEVISION 5. POETRY PUBLICATION ie Newsletter, Fliers,Poetry Journals,Poetry Magazine 6. START E-POETRY TRADE and our source of Income is going to be, 1.UMOJA POETRY CLUB FUND, 2. UMOJA POETRY CLUB PROJECTS, 3. UMOJA POETRY CLUB DONATIONS 4. UMOJA POETRY CLUB FEES 5. UMOJA POETRY CLUB SPONSORS. From My desk I still have many to share with you but I have to agree about the tense of time for today only is not going to be enough to say everything and if you can forgive my memory, herewith is My deep calling to You. Umoja Poetry Club this 2015 is looking forward to undertake the so called Humanitarian Related Projects for children and youth to be specific about age is going to be strictly only 9-25 years old the reason why is because we have chosen this age as our starting point to reach somewhere in a great accomplishment of our 2015 mission, with this note in mind that our art workshop door is going to be open for everyone.
