Neighbors, please take the time to complete this survey. Mid-Peninsula Open Space is in the process of creating a Master Plan for Bear Creek Redwoods which may include closure of Bear Creek Stables, where I board our horses. Please know that the entire community of boarders at the stables has a vested interest in maintaining the legacy of the open space on which it resides. Keeping the trail network open to hikers and equestrians (permit only) has for many years meant a serene and pristine habitat where hardly a human trace can be seen. There are many other trails in our area where dogs and mountain biking are allowed but this is one place where habitat rules and wildlife ABOUNDS. This is one place in the valley where you can truly escape the rat race and relax in quietude among historical landmarks, old growth redwoods and breathtaking views of the valley below. It is a wonderful journey every time!
