[One student one email to Professor Michael Hor, Dean of the Faculty] Dear members, Following the neutral stance from the Faculty, some students have expressed the request for the Dean of the Faculty to declare his stance on the current social movement. More importantly, we hope the Faculty could provide tailor-made arrangements to students who have been participating the social movement. If you wish the to do the same, an email template has been drafted for your reference. Please send the attached email to [email protected]. We believe the support from the Dean would be vital to students who participate in this social development. Each of your support is paramount to the outcome. Thank you! Yours faithfully, Executive Committee Law Association, HKUSU Session 2014-2015 _______________________________________________________ [Subject: Show of personal stance and support to students] Dear Professor Hor, The Umbrella Revolution has been set in motion, and students would like to urge you to show your personal stance regarding the movement. Meanwhile, we urge the Faculty to provide more support to students including, but not limited to, recording of classes and tutorials, cancellation of the attendance system (in the following week or beyond if necessary). For the past week, law students have taken part in the Students Strike, sacrificing attending classes to protest against the Standing Committee of the National Peoples Congress decision regarding universal suffrage in Hong Kong. As law students continue to strive for democracy in class boycotts, I hope you can take our request seriously and declare your stance so to show your support to fellow students. Thank you very much for your support and consideration. Best regards,
