Nema Aviona Za Zagreb (containing 3 minutes of footage of Baba shot in 1967) will open at the Netherlands Film Festival on Thursday. My wishes are with Louis van Gasteren to win an award. He has won two Brown Calf awards at this festival in the past. At 90 years old, this his most recent film and possibly his last, he has come to be renowned throughout the Netherlands as the grand old man (Nestor) of the Dutch documentary. The film is 81 minutes, in both color and black and white, English and Dutch, shot in ten countries. It took 48 films to complete the film. About Nema Aviona Za Zagred Baba said, "Louis and his men know their job. I felt happy with Louis, not only because he is an artist, but because he has a good heart. . . Louis is a genius in his art. Because of this, and because of his love for me, I cooperated one hundred percent and he made the most of this opportunity. . . I know that he will try his best to have the film shown all over the world. He worked at it with all his heart, and I cooperated with all my heart. So, this must bear good results."
