Supports manufacturing, production control and facility operations with specifying, designing, installing and supporting communication, control, quality and monitoring systems in assigned areas. Provides systems modifications as required to support vehicles model changes. Assists with specifying, designing and installing new and modified process equipment in assigned areas. Assists with maintenance of existing process equipment. Communicate with suppliers to facilitate design changes for new models. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth. Job Functions: 1. Lead activities for quality activities for the Canton Plant. 2. Identify vehicle level concerns and support root cause identification. 3. Support the development and implementation of countermeasures to resolve vehicle level concerns. 4. Work with engineer(s) to track Daily/Weekly/Monthly performance for specified areas. 5. Support countermeasure development for various 3MIS warranty concerns. 6. Interface with PQA -PDI, VES-e, PQE, TCE and Body & Paint shops in problem solving activities. 7. Support feedback system to Manufacturing, PQE and TCE to drive improvement in various quality activities. 8. Support the maintainance and management of the QIS system. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications 1. Job Knowledge and Skill: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills and analytical and problem solving skills. Knowledge as required of computer programming languages. Basic knowledge of automotive systems and test equipment. Working knowledge of vehicle electrical diagnostics. Some familiarity of new process equipment introduction. 2. Experience: 0~4 years of related experience at a professional level. 3. Education: A minimum four year degree from an accredited university in mechanical or electrical engineering required. 4. Computer skills: Basic knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet and other PC applications or mainframe applications to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature. Physical Requirements 1. Travel; Occasional day or overnight travel , including international travel. Extended travel may be required if assigned to new model programs.
