No one above the law — except Noynoy and his KKKKs Written by Ninez Cacho-Olivares Saturday, 07 September 2013 08:00 font size decrease font size increase font size Print 9 comments There are no cronies under the Noynoy presidency, so he says, so nobody believes. But cronies they are, coming in the form of his infamous KKKs, with another K added, or kaibigan (friends or cronies) kaalyado (allies), kaklase (classmates) and kabarilan (target shooting buddies), all of whom get absolved of any wrongdoing despite evidence and allegations — and absolution comes even before any investigation is conducted on the matter. Think Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief, Virginia Torres, who appears to be one of Noynoy’s protected species, as no matter what allegations and charges there are against her, and charged by her direct boss of insubordination, it is her boss who is asked to resign, and Torres is kept at her job. And this is not the first time she has been absolved. Just recently, she was caught in a photo that went viral of gambling in a casino, which is banned by law, for government officials and employees. Her new boss, Emilio Abaya of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC), can’t seem to touch her, or even demand that she take a leave. Instead he says her taking a leave of absence is up to her, and that he claims that there is an investigation on her ongoing, which is a big fat lie, since such investigations are never done, with Abaya knowing that as long as the media don’t keep up with the story, the issue will die down and out. It is no different from the investigation Abaya claims he is doing on Vitangcol, of the same office, who has been linked to the MRT-3 extortion try on Inekon. To date, nothing has been said about the probe on this issue, except for Abaya pinning all the charges against the Czech Ambassador. As for presidential sister Ballsy and her husband Eldon, or even Jorge Lichauco, a presidential first cousin linked to the extort try, forget probing them. They are untouchables under the Aquino regime.. No one is above the law — except for his KKKKs, under the Noynoy presidency and administration. Just recently, with the pork barrel scandal at the forefront, Noynoy, through his mouthpieces, has again applied different standards for his KKKs, especially his anointed successor and his kaalyados, such as Budget Secretary Butch Abad and even his Cabinet members. While he, through his mouthpieces, his attack dog, Leila de Lima and her claimed whistle-blowers, along with their yellow media, have been demonizing at least three senators who have been linked by whistle-blowers who clearly lack credibility as they invent stories and even come up with notebooks in which they themselves write out the claimed code names of the senators, Noynoy quickly absolves Mar Roxas, who then, as senator from 2004 to 2007 and was Gloria Arroyo’s staunch ally and Trade secretary in 2001, was found to have given his pork to a non-government organization (NGO) that used part of the funds to pay its employees. And get this: CoA, an adjunct of the Palace, clears him right away. Natch! As Noynoy, through his official mouthpiece, Edwin Lacierda stated, Roxas can never be tempted to engage in a corrupt activity. “In his years of public service, Secretary Mar Roxas has never been tainted with any allegation of anomaly,” Lacierda said, calling the statement found in the Commission on Audit (CoA) Special Audit Report covering 2007 to 2009 that Roxas also had his dealings with the controversial pork barrel fund manipulator Janet Lim-Napoles, while he was still a sitting senator and that like other senators, Roxas also funneled his pork barrel to dubious NGOs instead of on projects that were supposedly to be funded by the Priority Development Assistance Fund. In absolving Noynoy’s anointed, and Lacierda’s second boss, as he seems to also be speaking for Roxas, he stressed that the one who committed the blunder and should shoulder the burden of investigations would have to be the Kalookan Assistance Council Inc. (KACI) and not Roxas as an official of the government. But not in the case of the non-allies in the Senate? “What that organization NGO has to explain to CoA is why did the KACI spend that part of that fund to provide financial assistance to its employees? That’s the question that that particular KACI should answer,” Lacierda said. But he and Noynoy appear to take the CoA report as gospel truth and are over the moon that the three senators are being demonized in the media and in his Senate, now controlled by his allies and partymates. That’s not malicious, apart from this demonization being a political hatchet job on the probable 2016 LP presidential and VP bets? So why did Lacierda and Lady Gaga, as well as the Liberal Party (LP) senators, earlier insist that the legislators should be investigated and made to explain, based on the selective CoA audit, but in the case of Roxas, all blame falls on the NGO? As for Butch Abad, who definitely had a hand in the great cover-up of the pork releases of the LP senators and allies of the administration, as he never submitted the documents CoA had been asking for repeatedly, especially those of Noynoy and Roxas, while CoA audits only a tiny percentage of the pork releases of Noynoy’s LPs and allies. Why, Abad too has been absolved by Noynoy. Abad is also one of the untouchables, as Mar Roxas is and as all of Noynoy’s Cabinet, including his Aggie chief Proceso Alcala, who has been into the same pork scam is. They, to this frigging Noynoy administration, have been declared saints, by the self proclaimed top saint pf hypocrisy, Noynoy Aquino.
