The weather promises to be beautiful, so consider spending some time outdoors listening to seven great marching bands: On Saturday, September 14, 2013 the seven marching bands from CCS high schools will perform in a non-competitive exhibition at Mount Pleasant High School at 6:00 PM. The 17th annual Preview of Champions exhibition allows the students to perform for the other bands, their parents and the community and prepare for the competition season. This joint performance also allows the students and parents a chance to experience the performances of the other schools in a supportive atmosphere. To honor America there be a combined performance of “America the Beautiful” by all of the bands. Performing will be over 350 musicians and over 100 color guard members. This performance will mark a landmark in cooperative education for all in attendance. Admission is $5 and the money will be split among all of the schools for expenses.
