No restitution without a Constitution. In the beginning there was emigration for in order to sustain yourself and your family, people traveled freely as they bartered skills for wares. Each was happy for a smile was more important than a frown. As a result of traveling, families grew and boundaries became exchange stations and market places. Then, as if by magic the forest became forbidden for greed had set in. The angry one rather than adjoining himself decided to rage displeasure, thus causing the first rape of a friendly Virgin. Emigration was changed to immigration and controllers were selected as administrators of boundaries. Greed was the criteria of employment along with choosing the person most feared. Most importantly that person had no ties to those who were friendly. And so it was, Sin Tomas office of deprivation was controlled by outsiders who like chameleons conveniently became Sin Tomians when it suited them. People who were bonded for certain time and were employed especially by these tyrants, were immediately sent home after construction was almost finished or finished. When the bad name was sounded, Sin Tomians were the recipients instead of their country men. Greed has become the order of the day in my territory of Jewels. Helter and Skelter, aimless and homeless take precedence over Wit, Valor, and Honor. Hardly anyone other than the caring, knew that March 31st was a significant moment in the History of The Virgin Islands of the United States. Schools were silent. Churches were silent. And Families went about their business. Not a peep as to the Constitution Document which would have given hope over present despair.
