Not all proteins are the same....It has been recommended by the medical community that patients increase protein intake to 100 grams/day, Agreed.....BUT, in an effort to get their 100g most will turn to meat based protein since it contains approx 21g/3 oz, rather than to boiled beans approx. 16g/8oz. or quinoa approx 9g per 3/4cup. TOO MUCH MEAT PROTEIN WILL PROMOTE TUMOR GROWTH. Please make mindful choices, not shortcuts. Add beans and grains to your daily menu. You will get your complete protein, amino acids, minerals, macronutrients and FIBER. Not bad fats and calories without proper nutrition.
