Note 5- Psalms 14:4 14:4 All those who behave wickedly do not understand, those who devour my people as if they were eating bread, and do not call out to the Lord. Think back to what verse 1 was talking about.. athiests. For those of us that have personally experienced the Lord.. its hard for us to understand how they cannot believe. Same with David. It was beyond his comprehension how anyone could not believe. He goes on to say... those who devour my people... Prov 30:14 those whose teeth are swords and whose jaws are set with knives to devour the poor from the earth, the needy from among mankind. Jer 10:25 Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the peoples who do not call on your name. For they have devoured Jacob; they have devoured him completely and destroyed his homeland. Through out the ages, people have attacked Gods children. They have maligned them. Brought false accusations against them. Tried to come against anything they were trying to do. Taken their possessions from them... Think of Haman from the book of Ruth whose soul desire was to wipe out all of the Jews. His hatred so intense. No fear of God. No belief in the God of Israel. Jesus warned us.. The world hated me before it hated you. Joh 15:18 Lets take this one step further.. notice who else didnt fear the Lord... didnt truly believe... Micah 3:1-3 Then I said, Listen, you leaders of Jacob, you rulers of the house of Israel. Should you not know justice, 2 you who hate good and love evil; who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones; 3 who eat my peoples flesh, strip off their skin and break their bones in pieces; who chop them up like meat for the pan, like flesh for the pot? We all have been attacked at some time in our life. Had someone spread a false rumor or malign our character. If someone asked you to explain this verse... how would you explain it? youtube/watch?v=qdPT4EvYUHM Have you ever wondered how long... til all these things end?
