Note to my Kara on her 23rd birthday: My heart overflows this - TopicsExpress

Note to my Kara on her 23rd birthday: My heart overflows this morning with joy. I look back over all the memories, and today I am in awe of the woman youve become. The pregnancy was a difficult one, so much so that the doctors made me quite my teaching job in April of 1991. I almost lost you several times during that pregnancy, and after losing My Mom, it was a tough road. But Moma had not left this world without leaving me with some grit. I made it and so did you, Bri. 26 hours of labor later, you came into this world with a flourish that had the entire maternity ward in the room applauding your arrival. (So much for the serene birth Id planned ;) ) You were bright-eyed and taking every single thing into account - strong and vibrant! Since then, youve been the constant song in my heart. You bring hurt and injured animals and souls into you for care like a magnet (our zoo is proof :D ). Youve overcome so many obstacles and had to face medical issues that would knock a horse down - but you keep going. I wish I could carry it all for you, but you dont let anything stop you. You create incredible music that takes my breath away. Your love for living things and the Sciences has led you to a double major in Biology and Environmental Science with a minor in Chemistry. (I believe you got your brains from your Dad :P ) Even though you brush it off, making the Deans List every time is something to be very proud of, especially in the fields you are pursuing. If you arent studying, youre in school or working a job...or getting ready to go to work. And, each time you are home you are constantly helping me, your dad or being an awesome big sister. I know you hate it when I brag, so I dont do it often, but I am so very proud of you and the gift that you are.So, Happy Birthday Kara Brianna. I love you just a little bit ...infinity x infinity. ox - Ma
