OFFICIAL RESIGNATION FROM ODM It is with regret that I write to inform you that I have decided to resign my membership of the Orange Democratic Party as from today. I’ve been a member of the ODM for 8 years and was one of its original founders back in 2005 as a student at the University. I assumed responsibility as the party’s Rift Valley Facebook Spokesperson between May 2012 and May 2014 (2 years) a position that earned me more enemies than friends and transformed the party to National outfit from the prism of Rift Valley in particular EMC. During that time I’ve seen the ODM grow from a small group of enthusiastic activists into a party, covering the length and breadth of the region (Rift valley). At that time we had over 400 contestants for various posts within Rift valley .Currently we have over 25 MCA, s in rift Valley who managed to emerge winners despite stiff competition from URP counterparts. In my backyard (EMC), ODM fielded all candidates in all elective positions with our Contestant Governor emerging 2nd.These were significant achievements by any standard. Today a party that was once composed of comrades and friends - united in the struggle for peace, socialism and Kenya,s third Liberation - has been turned into a party at war with itself and of few relatives and tribal men. The atmosphere inside the party is horrible and poisonous. This is not the party that I was involved in creating nor is it a party that I want to continue to participate in. It is not enough to blame Raila for every mess within ODM, but he should be able to take political responsibility and Resign alongside his trusted ally –ME ODM modeled my political dreams and I leave there a democratically reformed man with political leadership skills.
