OK time for a fun little game! 25 random things about me. Come on play along! 25 Random Things 1. I’m an only child. (My Mom was in labor 2 ½ days) Need I say more? 2. I never ate bananas until I was pregnant. 3. I love kosher dill pickles and will drink the juice too. 4. I broke my right wrist on the 2nd day of school in the 5th grade. I was in a new school and new town. 5. I’m afraid of only 2 things: snakes and heights. 6. I had Bell’s Palsy when I was in the 7th grade. 7. I have a black thumb. Everything I try to grow dies. But I love fresh cut flowers. 8. My right ear is pierced 3 times, my left ear 4 times. I had my belly button pierced when I turned 40 but I started growing crooked so I removed it. Maybe again? 9. I love any kind of jewelry. The least number of rings I wear at a time is 6. 10. My favorite drinks (in no particular order): Diet Coke, Diet Dr Pepper, Tequila and White Zinfandel wine. 11. I have 3 tattoos: a tramp stamp on my low back of roses and hearts, a purple and gold Celtic heart on my left foot top (my daughter Kathi has a matching one on her ankle) and on my right ankle I have Song of Solomon 6:3 “I am by beloved’s and my beloved’s is mine” in Hebrew. 12. I have been retired since 2003. 13. I became a grandmother in 2000 when I was 38 (via Art & Marilee). Gavin Arthur is now 13. They also gave me 3 more grandchildren: Drayton Elijah-10, Marista Analee-8 and Alexa Jane-6. (yeah she even acts like me!) Then when Brandon married Christina I got Mason-6, for a total of 5! 14. My favorite song is “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. 15. I hate rutabagas. 16. I graduated high school 1 year early. Class of 1979! 17. My favorite color is purple, any shade from lavender to royal. 18. I’m 4’10 ½”. (Mel is 6’5”) 19. I have lived in our current home that we built for 24 years. 20. If I could have any type of plastic surgery, I’d have my boobs put back where they used to be 21. When Mel first asked me out I asked him if he was married to which he replied “you don’t see a ring on my finger?” and I said “that doesn’t mean anything these days”. Today he wears 2 rings: a gold & diamond wedding band on his left hand and a silver band with Song of Solomon 6:3 on his right hand in honor of our 25th anniversary in 2007. 22. I had Lasik eye surgery in 2002 for my far vision, but have to wear reading glasses now for near vision. 23. When I got married at the age of 20, I became a mom to Art (6) and Kathi (4). I had Brandon when I was 21. 24. My favorite foods are pizza and doughnuts. 25. My dream car is a Porsche 911 – Purple of course.
