OUR HUMANITARIAN VALUES ARE UNCOMPROMISING Dr. Miguel Glatstein, an immigrant pediatrician from Argentine who works at the Dana Children’s Hospital in Tel Aviv, says he has been treating Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip, along with Israeli children, even at the height of the fighting in Gaza. He did so before Israel’s current military operation, Operation Protective Edge, and will continue to do so in the future. Keren Hayesod-UIA has been involved in supporting numerous projects at hospitals throughout Israel, funding the construction of various hospital wards, the purchase of emergency equipment, research, medical care for children who are in the hospital on a long-term basis, and recently also equipment for the treatment of children at a hospital near the Gaza border. Among the projects supported by Keren Hayesod is the Etgarim program, which provides various educational activities for hospitalized children, both Jewish and Arab, in turn highlighting the Keren Hayesod’s commitment to coexistence. Dr. Glatstein says all children, without exception, deserve the best medical treatment.
