Okay, on the submissive topic, what set me off was the implication that a lot of women do not know how to be submissive because they were raised incorrectly to be self-sufficient instead of following protocol. Meaning that if women are raised to be able to take care of themselves, they will not see the need in allowing a man to lead. Here are my issues with that: A. I probably have 5,000+ emails right now from women struggling financially because they are either single and have been left with children and the men have gone ghost, or they concentrated so much of building relationships with men that did not build a true foundation for themselves. B. I have probably at least 1,000+ emails from women in abusive relationships who are there primarily because of financial entrapment. There is a reason why the World Health Organization released a report last June saying that a third of women GLOBALLY are in domestic violence relationships. While in an ideal world, it would be great to follow all of the Biblical principles, which I am well aware of and actually agree with, we are not in an ideal world. We are doing our daughters and granddaughters a great disservice by raising them to believe that depending on a man to lead them, or even exist in their lives is the top priority. When they are left struggling, what are they supposed to do then? The woman on the panel said rely on Jesus and as a woman of great faith myself, again, I can see that...BUT you have to be proactive in your faith. I help women all the time who are stagnant in fear when I meet them, or simply overwhelmed with their problems, but the second they become proactive in their own destinies, God shows up and shows out. And in todays economy, both parties need to be contributing and both need to be willing to make sacrifices. Just my two cents.
