Okay, so its been a while since I have done this... You know what grinds my gears? The fact that people in a civilized, progressive country can still manage to vote for a bunch of xenophobic, antiminority and economically irresponsible hacks! The very fact that there is a political party in Canada (yes, backwards parties exist in the USA) that is so backwards is rather depressing. As Canadians, we (I hope anyway) take pride in the fact that we have such cultural, religious and racial diversity. An additional source of pride, which is now slipping here in Quebecistan, is the idea that all these people with very different backgrounds can live in harmony and unite as one people. Unfortunately, political parties such as the PQ continue to operate as though this is the Deep South circa the 50s and attempt to impose racist laws that are merely a witch hunt on minorities, reminiscent of Soviet persecution. We need to stop this, get out and vote people! Now for economy... Ever since the 70s, when the first PQ government was put in place, many businesses left as a result of anti-English laws and sky high taxes. By Quebec being anti-English, they are scaring away businesses that would invest here, tourists who used to LOVE Montreal TO DEATH, and rich folk thatd give decent tax dollars to funding various projects. Unfortunately, the PQ governments have always funded bad projects, raised taxes to a point where many people are left very poor and they managed to scare off the members of the upper tax bracket who would give funding for things, like public transit and other projects. ...and people still want taxes raised! On April 7th, vote with more intelligence than Pauline Marois and Lil Wayne. A vote for the PQ is a vote for an ass backward society.
