One thing I have seldom mentioned on here is my admiration and love for Compton organs. At St John Vianney Church in Clayhall, London they have an organ originally from the Ritz, Nuneaton. The thing that fascinates me most about Compton is the patent melotone electronic unit attached to their cinema organs between 1935 and 1939. This was developed into a complete electronic organ after world war two and several still survive in churches of all demonations.
