”One way or another, we all have to find what best fosters the flowering of our humanity in this contemporary life, and dedicate ourselves to that. -- Joseph Campbell, American writer and lecturer We are all part dirt and part heaven - body and spirit. Humanity has a long record of good and an equally long record of wrong. We are capable of both - not just as a species - but you and I - we are capable and perhaps more skilled than we would like to be - in both good and evil. So rather than trying to bolster that which is human in us, maybe we need to bolster that which is divine because that is when humanity flowers with edible fruit. This is the season of Advent - the breathless anticipation of Christmas and all that it means. So I ask you to go on a journey with me over the next few days. May we go slow and move gently. May we hear the whispers from heaven that feed our spirits. Bethlehem means House of Bread….and the One who is the Bread of Life is present to fill us up with Him. Will you come with me? Micah 5:2 New International Version (NIV) 2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
