(PORT MORESBYS LOST TRIBES OF PAPUAN & SOLOMON ISLANDS MIXED RACE FAMILIES WHOSE ORIGIONS HAVE ALSO HELPED TO BRING DEVELOPMENT TO PORT MORESBY AND CENTRAL PROVINCE - THE SILENT UNSUNG HEROES & ACHIEVERS DURING EARLY DAYS OF PIONEER SOLOMON ISLANDS SETTLERS. IN FACT THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE RECOGNISED BY THE AUSTRALIAN & PAPUA NEW GUINEAN GOVERNMENTS OF THE DAY FOR THE EFFORTS THEIR GREAT GRANDPARENTS PUT IN TO BRING DEVELOPMENT TO THE PEOPLE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. THEY SHOULD BE ASSISTED WITH FUNDING TO CONTINUE WHERE THEIR GRANDPARENTS LEFT BEHIND.) This is amazing, you wont believe it. This is my Solomon Island connection, the little boy being carried by his aunty is actually my late mums mothers father late bubu Willie Powell Davies whose father Jack Powell (a trader) was actually from American origin and his mother late bubu Raiga Alefo was actually from AreAre Island of Solomon Islands. His both parents died while he was a toddler and he was actually adopted by his mothers sister, late bubu Maomao Alefo, who also married late bubu Davies Kamo, a Jamaican (a trader as well). Late bubu Maomao is carrying my mums grandfather late Willie Powell Davies (chief engineer of coal operated engine Ship called MV Maru) while her natural son, late bubu Peter Davies formerly a CIS officer of Iare village in Kairuku District in those early days. He happens to be my cousin Sarah Haoda Todd and cousin Naomi Davies great grandfather. Small world, eh! we also have a very big Solomon/Papua New Guinean families called Davies family. Both Solomon Island cousin brothers came Port Moresby and married two cousin sisters of Hanuabada so we are part Motu Koitabuans as well. WE TOO HAVE OUR OWN GREA HISTORY, CULTURE AND PRIDE AND WE ARE PROUD OF IT. AMEN. God is good all the time. Amen.
