PRESS RELEASE March 11, 2014 Charleston, South Carolina 29401 Re: Racial Justice and Mental Disabilities Acts On Sunday March 9th at 9 PM on CNNs Death Row Stories the following story aired concerning the work of Cornel University Law Professor John Blume and his Columbia SC based Death Penalty Resource Center. How Edward Lee Elmore escaped South Carolinas death row - CNN This case highlights the unjust treatment non- white and/or Mentally Challenged individuals receive in South Carolina. I have personally investigated a handful of such cases in my 40 year career as a private detective. Death Row Stories - CNN Death Row Stories is a CNN Original series of one-hour documentaries unraveling the truth behind capital murder cases. Executive produced by Alex Gibney and Robert Redford and narrated by Susan Sarandon, these stories call into question various beliefs surrounding Americas justice system and the death penalty Professor Blume serves as the Comen Detective Agency Justice Commission Legislative Liaison. Professor Blume, long a fighter for Racial Justice and equal Justice for Mentally Challenged Death Penalty case defendants, has written two Acts. Attached is a copy of the Racial Justice and Mental Disabilities Acts dealing with the way death penalty cases are handled. I have included a brochure of the Comen Detective Agency in the event some of you are not familiar with me.
