Paying up to €700 per month for health insurance including separate bills for Dentistry (up to 1k per year or a hell of a lot more depending on how well you look after your nashers) and on top the extras such as €30-80 for little things like checking your moles, checking your retinas or getting a special blood test and to further top it off, at least €2,000-3,000 costs on medications (prescriptions) per year. There goes 10k+ per year just on health. Dont get me wrong the health service in Germany is probably one of the best in the world but to pay the extras on top of an already high monthly insurance feels like a slap in the face.
