People are claiming that libertarians are silent on the situation in Ferguson. There has not been one libertarian I know that hasnt said something about it. The militarization of American police forces is and has been an out of control and grave issue for some time now. Im heartbroken for this boy, his family, and their community. But Im also glad that people seem to be waking up, at least for now, to the reality of our current situation. Michael Brown isnt the first case of police abuse and murder. Unfortunately he wont be the last either unless people start to give a damn, not just in Ferguson, but everywhere. To those claiming libertarians are silent on this, Id like to ask you, where are you when this happens every single day? Because were always talking about it. This isnt some selective outrage were going to feel and forget about like its a damn pop-culture bandwagon cause. Instead of asking why we havent said anything, maybe you should ask yourself why you dont say something EVERYDAY.
