People who live their lives playing the blame game never ever - TopicsExpress

People who live their lives playing the blame game never ever attain true happiness. They are constantly in denial, battling reality and looking for someone to point the finger at instead of taking responsibility for their own actions or working to improve their own circumstances. One of the ways we can avoid blaming others is by learning the fine art of appreciation. Appreciating what our parents sacrificed to have us and raise us instead of focusing on what we think their shortcomings are. Appreciating our land and the life we are blessed to live in it, for better or for worse, instead of constantly feeling disappointed or shortchanged. Appreciating the diversity that exists amongst us Jews, the Chareidim who are pros at charitable work, the Nationalistic Religious Jews who have the strength to battle our political battles in a God fearing way, the secular Jews who instill pluralism and culture into our social structures, our soldiers who protect us daily and who were the ones who fought for and freed the Western Wall in order for us to have a place to fight, I mean pray. And finally our Muslim brethren who have already been fasting for days so aren’t we relieved to only fast for one? When we learn to walk around appreciating our blessing around us, we will not be negating the woes or wrongs that exist nor will we be living in denial of reality. The opposite of baseless hatred is not love, it’s appreciation.
