Although Romney and some other Americans think Putin is da man, its obvious that his prowess doesnt extend to quelling terrorism in his own country or to guaranteeing the safety of participants and visitors to the Olympics in Sochi. IMHO, a leader who has internal unrest to the extent that it threatens an international event isnt very effective. I guess for those who focus on appearance and the ability of an individual to bully others, its kind of easy to mistake superficial qualities for substance.
