Police Investigate Weekend Death Of Carriacou Resident Posted By Royal Grenada Police Force On Monday 16 September, 2013, News Image Police is currently investigating the death of a Carriacou resident who was allegedly struck by lightning on Saturday 14th September 2013. Marvin Quashie, 29 years, old Fisherman residing at Mt. Pleasant Carriacou was pronounced dead at the Princess Royal Hospital, Carriacou after he was taken there to seek medical attention. At the time of his death, Quashie was reportedly in company of another fisherman who also claimed that he was also struck unconscious by lightning. The 29 year old witness stated that they were just outside Gunpot Point Bay setting fish pots when he advised the deceased to put on his boots, however, he refused, after which he (the witness) fell unconscious. A postmortem examination to determine the official cause of death is scheduled to be performed on the body.
