Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in Manly on the weekend. A 22-year-old man was standing on Raglan Street about 3am on Sunday 7 December 2014, when a group of four men approached him. He yelled out to the men and took his shirt off. One of men in the group stepped forward and punched the 22-year-old in the face, causing him to fall over, hit his head on the ground and lose consciousness. The men then walked away and were last seen heading onto Pittwater Road, Manly. Officers from Northern Beaches Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation. The man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment of a possible fractured skull and bleeding on the brain. Investigators are now appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or witnessed the assault and has not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers. Police would like to speak to four men described only as being Caucasian appearance, aged in their 20’s and one with a beard.
