Police are investigating an armed robbery at a home in Lismore today. About 3pm (Thursday 4 December 2014), a 20-year-old woman was alone in a home on High Street when she heard the front door open and someone enter. Police have been told the woman found a man armed with a knife in a nearby bedroom. The man demanded money, before taking cash, a mobile phone and bank cards from the woman. The woman ran to a nearby home and alerted police. The armed man was last seen running east along High Street. Officers attached to Richmond Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. The woman was uninjured during the incident. As police continue their investigations, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 183cm tall, in his 30s, with black facial hair. The man was seen wearing a white t-shirt with a black/grey logo and shorts. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident is urged to contact Richmond Police via Crime Stoppers.
