Product Development Manager Product Development Manager required in a Telco company 1. Purpose: This Job Description describes the Roles/Responsibilities and authorities of the Product Development Manager 2. Objective: To organize and process the development of comprehensive cross-functional business cases and introduce new, innovative, cost effective, and competitive products and services. To act as a project manager for the introduction, packaging, and implementation of products and services. 3. Roles & Responsibilities: • The development of new and existing products & services (P&S) within the defined process. • Define, develop and deploy new P&S based on market demand & potential, environmental analysis, strategic priorities, conforming to the process decision stages, and the 4Ps (Price, Product (package), Place, Promotion) or 4Cs (Consumer, Cost, Convenience, Communication) • Optimize Product & Services Development process and set performance targets & metrics, which measure productivity and achievement against targets. • Establish Products and Services alliances and partnerships. Manage priorities and possible conflicts across all Products and Services. • Work closely with Marketing Support to identify and prioritize new ideas that balance corporate and/or residential products portfolio and fulfill customer and market needs. • Develop the business cases for new products and services and enhancement of existing P& S features, VAS, etc. • Maintain and continuously update knowledge of latest technology and marketing advances. • Monitor market changes including but not limited to competition & regulatory environment. • Foster synergies among P&S families and minimize cannibalization & substitution with existing P&S. • Maintain close relationship with partners, vendors & suppliers. • Establish & enhance methods and procedures within the P&S management process and set profitability goals for each P&S product family. • Work closely with Marketing Support, Customer Support Service, Sales & Account Management Department to identify and prioritize customer and market needs. • Coordinate activities and maximize life- cycle value across all P&S families and manage all aspects of the P&S portfolio • Organize positioning of P&S against each other in terms of application, price, and target market, packaging/ bundling of products across the various product families. • Meet regularly with other product family managers to review corporate objectives, to provide direction and to mediate conflict between Product Family Managers when necessary. • Actively participate in the idea creation process. • Co-ordinate all activities related to the value chain, including sales, account Management, provisioning and delivery, customer support service, Network Management. • Know & work on industry standards of quality, usage behavior, profitability, & expenditure (cost of sales, marcom, etc.). • Liaise with other departments’ managers for day- to-day activities. • To manage any additional assignment given by the Management. • To comply with ISO 9001 standards (QMS) guide lines. 4. Authorities: • Improvements to Product & Services Development process, ideation, setting priorities and recommending new business cases. • Gaining, sharing, and negotiating efficiently with alliances, partners, vendors & suppliers. • Decide on the priorities of P&S 5. Requirements: • Bachelors Degree (Business and/or IT related) • MBA (Preferred) • 5 years experience in Product Development or Product Management • Demonstration of successful product or project management Please email your CV to [email protected] with mark position name in the subject.
