Professor Joseph McBride is interviewed in a new podcast about his favorite film, Orson Welless mutilated masterpiece THE MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS (1942). The film is based on the novel by Booth Tarkington about a doomed Midwestern family and the decline of civilization with the coming of the automobile and the industrial age. This podcast on The Projection Booth is hosted by Mike White with Roger Ryan, who did his own partial reconstruction of AMBERSONS. Other guests will be Welless oldest daughter Christopher Welles Feder; Peter Bogdanovich; Jonathan Rosenbaum; and William Friedkin. The podcast will be available starting Wednesday, December 4, via ITunes, Stitcher, or from projection-booth.
