The Bhagavad Gita, an integral part of the epic MAHABHARATA, consist of 18 chapters and 700 verses The Bhagavad Gita claims its place amongst the world known religious scriptures. The teaching of the Bhagvad Gita enables a person to lead a better life. It is a guide and a counselor for every person. The message of the Bhagavad Gita is universal. Its eternal values are beneficial not only to Hindus but also to the whole of mankind. In the midst of troubles of everyday life, the teachings of the Gita give solace and peace to human mind. This beautiful poem is in the form of a dialogue between SRI KRISHNA, the incarnation of the supreme, and Arjuna, at Kurukshetra before the commencement of the MAHABHARATA war, to perform Nishkarma.
