Public Callout: AAfG mass gathering against Golden Dawn on Sunday 27th October 2013 - 2 pm at St Pauls Cathedral The latest events in Greece, sparked by the murder of antifascist activist Pavlos Fyssas by members of the neo-nazi party Golden Dawn, come at a time of a paneuropean rise of radical right extremism and of diffusion of racist discourse. In this context, as AAfG, we took the initiative to organize a gathering at St Paul’s Cathedral, on the 27th October at 2 pm, in order to raise public awareness on these issues and the threat that neo-fascist ideology and action pose not only to the Greeks, but also to the British and other societies across the continent. In Greece every year on the 28th October we commemorate the fight of the Greek people against Mussolini’s attack back in 1940, and the common resistance of the peoples of Europe against fascism. Renewing that symbolism and its historical significance for our times, we call you to join our fight and give the re-emerging nightmare of fascism the response it deserves. Lets unite our voices and chant Fascism never again!
