Public Safety Alert, Break-and-enters targeting second storeys 13 Division 416-808-1300 The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a number of break-and-enters. It is reported that: - during November 2013, several homes were broken into in the area bounded by Lawrence Avenue West to the north, St.Clair Avenue West to the south, Bathurst Street to the west, and Avenue Road to the east. - access was gained via a second-storey window - in some instances, the window was left open or unlocked - homes both with and without security cameras were broken into The offences are very similar to a number of break-and-enters last year in the same area during the holiday season. Police are reminding people to remain vigilant and secure all doors and windows, including those on upper storeys.
