Pulling myself from Roberts warm embrace to climb out of bed this - TopicsExpress

Pulling myself from Roberts warm embrace to climb out of bed this morning was brutal. Outside hail fell in bitter shards, clinking upon the roof and windowpanes - the sky a cold, dismal grey. Everything is frosted white, the eaves and tree branches heavy with icicles. Our poor trees, flowers and berry bushes look crushed - even the resilient chrysanthemum blooms are down-faced and haggard looking. My thoughts turn to the stray orange cat who occasionally wanders through our yard. I wonder if hes found shelter. I think I will bundle up and take a look for him and if I find him, bring him inside. He usually runs from us but I hope hell trust me enough today to help him. Oh, Mother Nature, you fickle creature, show us some love.
