RE: Call for contributions from societies and groups. The Aegis Trust Society is arranging a commemoration event for Kwibuka20 on the 29th of March to mark 20 years since the Rwandan Genocide. We are calling for all types of societies and groups around campus and in Liverpool city to offer contributions and to invite everyone they know. The Plan so far: Walk to Remember: Hundreds of thousands of Rwandans and friends around the world walk together to remember the victims of the genocide and support survivors. Amnesty Liverpool is already on board to plan the route. We would love more groups to join us in fancy dress, T-Shirt, or identifiable in some other way, with banners and placards in solidarity standing for peace, equality human rights and against genocide. Global Umuganda Celebration: Umuganda is a Rwandan tradition is coming together in a common purpose to improve communities. This year they are happening worldwide and we hope to hold Liverpool Umuganda at the Bombed Out Church after the Walk. We envisage music, food, drinks and stalls and we need all the help we can get to make that happen! Please email [email protected] or message our Facebook group stating if you are a group or and individual. The University of Liverpool Aegis Trust Society
