REALISTIC:;- LIFE IN THE HANDS OF THE MAKER::- BY--Anasi Emmanuel Chukwuemeka.......... This morning, after the Hall Morning Prayer, I got into my room and as I was meditating and pondering over the program and its success, I saw an ant climbing through my wall. It grasped my attention and then I decided not to exterminate it but just observe. The bearing of my eyeball took the pattern of the ant’s indirect movement. The ant climbed through my extension box fastened to the wall and then was playing around. It seemed so happy enjoying its ease around the socket, and then it decided to take a step further by entering the socket port. “This is its end”, I concluded knowing that the master socket from where the extension sourced its current was on. But to my astonishment, this ant came out still seeming cheery. I analysed more carefully and came to cognizance that it was the neutral port or (maybe earth) that the ant entered. I smiled and became more enthusiastic towards the experience, wishing the ant will enter the live port. Was disappointed though when the ant left the direction of the ports and began to climb off, but then the message oozed in. The Question is, “Would the ant have survived if it had entered the live port”? The function of an extension box is equivalent to that of a wall socket, only that it is dependent on it to distribute current and bring it to the reach of electrical devices. In other words, an extension box represents the socket where the devices are. Christians are like an extension of God on earth; we carry the same mind, have same image and live same kind of life. Some Christians make a daily prayer of father May problems be far away from me, blind the devil where I am… it’s a beautiful prayer for children but not for sons of God. The devil messes up with some Christians because they are just as neutral as the neutral port of the extension. But if only we can connect to the socket of God in the place of restoration and salvation, and allow this stream of current pass through us in the cooking place of prayer and the digestion of the undiluted WORD, we will be like the life port where problem dares and dies. Prayers shall change from “save me from the devil” to, “where is the devil”. Ps.23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: FOR THOU ART WITH ME....
