RING OF POWER, Saturday 13th of December: To all Peaceworkers, We are now living through the darkest hours before the dawn -- this is what Thomas D says in his touching song, Prayer for the Planet. At the same time, these are the days of Advent. A time to contemplate the light in the midst of darkness. Certainty that renewal is close; anticipation of that which is to come, within ourselves, within our fellow human beings, and in the world. During this pre-Christmas time, may we be accompanied by a contemplative strength, and by the power of awakening. More and more people are waking up, no longer wanting to participate in the destruction of our inner lives and of our external environment. May this intention grow; along with both the knowledge that we can move to an entirely new and independent system for living, and the knowledge of how to make this change. As a Power Text, we would like to quote a few thoughts on the subject of the Healing Biotope -- which we can see as a pioneering path. Text of Empowerment: What is a Healing Biotope? Excerpt from the book, Terra Nova -- Global Revolution and the Healing of Love. by Dieter Duhm (...) The work in a healing biotope is aligned to the truths of life. Healing is accomplished by life itself, when we give life the possibility to act. We do this with new social, ecological, and technological structures, and through new forms of coexistence, aligned with the commandments of a universal system of ethics. The better we can build these structures, the more intense the effect of this healing process will be, on all those involved. The project of the Global Healing Biotopes incorporates and manifests those principles and paradigms which--given the current state of human understanding--are valid on every continent of our planet, if a humane world is to arise. Of course, healing biotopes in different countries will be shaped by their cultural, geographic, and climactic circumstances; but the foundational principles for building the new culture are the same everywhere. The project does not deal with some particular category of contemporary problem--for example the problem of hunger--but with all such problems, for they are all interconnected. The project of hunger, intending to free the world from hunger throughout the last century, could not work; because the existing economic and political processes of exploitation continuously produce new hunger. To eliminate hunger worldwide, the economic structures that create hunger must also be eliminated. This applies to any kind of true renewal in a humane direction: It can succeed only on the basis of a new social, economic, and political order. Without revolution, there can be no humane world. However, it is now no longer about violent revolution, but rather about revolution through the recognition and application of the power given to us through our intrinsic Christ-nature. Revolution, by taking a committed and non-negotiable stand for life. Sentence of Empowerment: Healing is accomplished by life itself.
