RIP Momma...Verna June Ridgley My mother passed away last night at the age of 93. She was a good person, mother and wife. She had not one but two successful marriages....to my father for twenty years until he passed when I was 12 yrs and to my Dad for 45 yrs. She was a nurse for 40 years, and at the age of 77 she decided to have a new career...so she opened a wedding boutique. She had this boutique for 18 years until she became too ill to work. She often told me she "was a failure" because she had to close her shop, but I told her anyone who has a successful business for 18 years "is not" a failure...I did all the designing of her veils and hats until I moved away and she was beside herself as to whom would then create her designs...I insisted she could do it but she resisted, saying she was not artistic.... Finally she attempted the task and when I went home to visit she had some of the most beautiful hats, and veils I had ever seen. Love my momma may she rest in peace.
